Black Belters in present

We have a group of enthusiastic black belters who are training regularly with us. Our Black Belt Sessions are conducted on every Sunday at Tanglin Dojo from 5 pm to 6 pm.

We welcome all KSK black belters to come and join us in these sessions. We do not charge for extra fees in these sessions, as long as you have paid up the usual training fees.

KSK won a Bronze Medal in the JB International 2008

KSK has sent Esther Tan to TELUK DANGA INTERNATIONAL GAMES 2008, Johor Bahru on 22nd February 2008 to participate in the Female Individual Kata Event. Esther has overcome all the odds and won the 3rd position in the said category. This is the first international medal she has won and she is inspired to achieve higher standard in her performance. We congratulate her success and not forgetting Team Manager Micky Tey's contributions to her success too. Assistant Coach Lee Kam Leong also gave his support by his presence when Esther is performing. We are looking forward to a fruitful year in 2008.

Successful Candidates of the 20 Jan 2008 Grading

Black Belt Certificate Presentation

Both Jason Chua and Micky Tey have successfully achieved their Black Belt 2nd Dan Certification on 16th February 2008. Both of them have been practicing with KSK more than ten years.


These are part of the successful candidates who have achieved their higher kyu certificates. Presenting these certificates are our two long service assistant coaches, Sensei Kam Leong and Sensei Micky.

The KSK Team to the JB International Championships consists of Team Manager, Mr. Micky Tey, Coach Chia K.F. and Contestant for Lady Kata event Miss Esther Tan.

Lastest Development of Coaches




LATEST NEWS ABOUT OUR COACHES

Shihan Chia has accredited with two latest qualifications: Qualified Sport Trainer (Level 1) and Qualified Sports First Aider from Australia Sport Authority. The validity date is up to year 2010 by Australia Sport Medicine.

All members from KSK are assured that our coaches will continue to acquire new knowledge of coaching beside karatedo knowledge.

Other coaches such as Lee Kam Leong, Boon Keong and Terance Ou has acquired NCAP Level 1 (Theory) from Singapore Sports Council; Lee and Terance both also acquired KOI Instructor course certification.


Most of our assistant coaches also are qualified First Aiders from either St John Ambulance Service or Red Cross Society.


Shihan Chia also acquired the highest qualification from National Registry of Coaches (Singapore Sports Council) as a Master Coach in Karatedo Coaching.
